WebAbstract An 18-year-old Asian woman with a history of substance abuse presented to the Emergency Department with right-sided abdominal pain and hematuria of several months duration. Physical examination revealed right upper quadrant and suprapubic tenderness. Liver function tests were normal. Webwith hematuria may point to a urinary tract infection or uroepithelial malignancy . Colicky pain suggests a stone. Hematuria without pain suggests some-thing other than nephrolithiasis, infection, or papillary necrosis, but does not rule them out.
