Many small islands, islets and reefs occur around its perimeter, including the Glide Islands 4 km to the east and totalling about 10 ha. WebSolander Island Ecological Reserve is a 7.7 ha (19 acres) protected area on an island 1.5 km (0.9 mi) west of Brooks Peninsula Provincial Park off the northwest coast of Vancouver Island in British Columbia, Canada.It was established in 1971.
